(a mini) Update for May 29, 2015

While We’re Waiting…

Governor Dayton, Majority Leader Bakk and Speaker Daudt have been meeting behind closed doors to work out their differences. Rumblings suggest they are getting closer, and that the Governor could call the special session any minute. While we don’t have an official Update for you this week, we do have a list of things you can do while you wait.

• Call legislators and the Governor and let them know what you think about targets and priorities, if you haven’t. Get your friends around Minnesota to call as well.

• Complete this short survey for Parents United to give us some feedback to work better for you.

• Support this work and ensure that we can be there to be your eyes and ears.

Meanwhile, we’ll keep our ear to the ground and let you know as soon as we know more about the final outcomes of the 2015 Session.

It’s official! We will hold our annual Legislative Wrap-up the morning of Saturday, June 6, 9am-10:30am, at the TIES Event Center Hamline Room, 1640 Larpenteur Ave. W., St. Paul, MN 55108. Doors open and coffee is on at 8:30am. This event is free, but please register. We are banking on an education bill by then, and if it’s not in, there will be plenty of interesting things to discuss.
