The election is over—ensure our presence in the coming debate!

The election is over and caucus leaders selected. Barring litigation, a gubernatorial recount can be completed by mid-December. If litigation is part of the process, Minnesota could be in leadership limbo for the foreseeable future.

Parents United offers a special “thank you” to all who worked local levy campaigns. Your work brought the need for public school funding to Main Street. Since there is still no clear plan to provide that funding, this issue will not magically disappear with new state leadership.

We are parents who believe that the way to make lasting change is to involve Minnesotans in the debate for stable funding and smart investments to improve our schools – because quality public schools benefit everyone. Join us, partner with us, work with us. We’ll be in touch.

Give to the Max! Mark Your Calendar for November 16

What if you could help Parents United win $1,000 just by giving 10 bucks? On November 16, Minnesota’s Give to the Max Day, you can. Last year, Parents United raised over $14,000 on this one day of giving. Our goal is to beat that record on the second annual Give to the Max Day, sponsored by GiveMN.org.

We’re a small organization with a big job! Donate to Parents United on November 16 and amplify your giving in a number of ways:

  • New and increased donations will be matched by our $10,000 Founders Challenge Fund.
  • The first 20 donors of $250 or more will be invited to a private legislative briefing breakfast in January.

GiveMN.org is offering these additional ways to increase your donation:

  • Win a Golden Ticket! $1,000 will be given to a random donor’s charity every hour. You could be that donor!
  • Put us on the Leader Board! Your donation on November 16 could put us on the leader board to win $10,000 or even $20,000 for the most number of donors for our nonprofit. Help Parents United get “on the board!”

As you consider your charitable end-of-year giving, please consider participating in Give to the Max Day on November 16. GiveMN is easy to use, and your gift to Parents United will make a huge difference to our ongoing work.
