GOTV Volunteer Needs on Election Day
11/7/2008
On Election Day the Minnesota Participation Project, in coordination with multiple nonprofits across the state, will support nonpartisan voter turnout with the goal of reaching 80% in '08. We will be targeting neighborhoods in Minneapolis, St. Paul, St. Cloud, Moorhead and Duluth to increase voter turnout through phonebanking, rides to the polls, visibility, and more.

    Upcoming Volunteer Opportunities with Every Child Matters
    October:
    10/4- Canvassing and Voter Registration: Help get out the vote in south Minneapolis.
    Training and food provided.
    Macedonia Baptist Church, 3801 1st Ave. S, two shifts: 8:30 a.m. to noon or noon to 3:30 p.m.

    10/31- Halloween Canvassing and Party: Come in your favorite (non-partisan) Halloween costume and get out the vote on Halloween night! Following the canvassing we will have a fun Halloween party!

    November:
    11/1- 11/3- Phone Banking: In the days leading up to the election, we will be calling voters across the metro area and in greater Minnesota reminding them to cast their ballots!
