Nonpublic Pupil Transportation

Nonpublic pupil transportation revenue is equal to the cost per pupil of providing transportation services in the base year (the second prior year, for 2005-06 the base year is 2003-04) and then adjusted for the change in the general education formula allowance between the current year and the base year.

Again, ask your district's business office about the allocation of these dollars and whether the revenues are sufficient to cover the cost of services provided. Keep in mind these are public tax dollars subsidizing private schools, who are not held to the same standards of accountability.
