How to Use Legislative Agendas
- Read them to educate yourself. Know the facts and understand the issues.
- Pass your understanding on to others:
- Post the agenda and information sheet on bulletin boards in your communities
- Publish the information in your parent group newsletters or bulletins
- Present the issues to your circle of family and friends, or a group in your school or neighborhood
- Mail the agenda along with a short, hand-written note to your state representative or senator. Share your concerns. Let them know you are one of their constituents and that the well-being of all children is important to you.
- Know who represents you and how to contact them.
