About the Event

Modeled after the successful series of the Urban Enterprise Center in Seattle, It's Time to Talk: Forums on Race exists to expand our understanding of differences through personal dialogue among members of different races, with the ultimate goal of making a commitment to diversity and improving race relations. This action to eliminate racism starts with It's Time to Talk.

Since 2003, influential leaders have invited thousands of people of racially diverse backgrounds to It's Time to Talk. Many of them have followed up by engaging people in Community Dialogues in their workplaces, communities, homes, and places of worship. Their positive feedback emphasizes that taking time to talk about racism is an important step towards improving race relations in Minnesota. Their continued commitment proves that talk is action.
