GOTV Volunteer Needs on Election Day
11/7/2008
On Election Day the Minnesota Participation Project, in coordination with multiple nonprofits across the state, will support nonpartisan voter turnout with the goal of reaching 80% in '08. We will be targeting neighborhoods in Minneapolis, St. Paul, St. Cloud, Moorhead and Duluth to increase voter turnout through phonebanking, rides to the polls, visibility, and more. Food! Music! Community! Bring your kids!

HELP GET OUT THE VOTE ON ELECTION DAY!

  • Volunteers are needed to give accessible rides to the polls on Election Day in the Twin Cities. Drivers of wheelchair-accessible vans must provide their driver’s license number, proof of personal driving insurance coverage, pass a background check and attend mandatory training that will cover disability awareness, operation of vehicles and nonpartisan voter mobilization.

  • Volunteers are needed to ride along with a driver to help coordinate the pick-up and drop off.

  • Volunteers can also drive their own vehicles. Drivers using thier own vehicles must provide their driver’s license number, proof of personal driving insurance coverage, and pass a background check.

  • Volunteers who are interested in other activities like phonebanking and visibility are also needed statewide!
