Minnesota School Boards Association MSBA's 2008 Referenda Survey shows 50 school districts going out for an operating levy referendum this year. Of those 50, eight have gone to a vote earlier in the year, two went out for a vote Sept. 9, and the other 40 will put their questions to a vote Nov. 4. There are also 30 districts trying for a bond election or capital facilities vote this year. Of those, 14 have already requested funds, eight were up for a vote Sept. 9, and the other eight will try Nov. 4. Three of the eight going in November are for one-day bonds.
