The 2016 Legislative Session begins today…

Given that it is the second year of this Legislative Session and therefore a bonding year, spending and policy changes┬ámay or may not happen. In fact, Senator Wiger reminded us┬álast week during a Senate Education Committee hearing that there will either be a spending target, or there will not be. Stakeholders testified, including Parents United for Public Schools, on their priorities. Erin Hinrichs writes for MinnPost that they include, “expanding early education, bolstering the teacher work force and filling gaps in student support services.”
