Program cuts on District 84 agenda

SLEEPY EYE – A resolution to reduce educational programs and positions is on the Wednesday, May 9 Sleepy Eye Public School Board agenda.

Programs to be cut are art and social studies, business, and family and consumer science.

Other action items include hiring a special education teacher, accepting a counselor’s resignation and approving a Wide Area Network Consortium agreement, 2012-13 school literacy plan a summer migrant school application, and Taher, Inc. as the 2012-13 food service provider.

The food service program is a discussion item. The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. in the conference room.
