Minnesota Department of Education Announces New Hires
ROSEVILLE – Today, Minnesota Department of Education Commissioner Brenda Cassellius announced the following changes to the agency’s executive leadership team:
- Hue Nguyen will join the department as an assistant commissioner, filling a vacancy left by Elia Bruggeman. Nguyen is a graduate of the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities and comes to the agency after serving four years as a senior policy advisor to Governor Mark Dayton.
- Daron Korte is moving from government relations director to an assistant commissioner. Korte joined the department’s government relations team in 2011. He is a graduate of the DePaul University Law School in Illinois. He is filling a vacancy left by Steve Dibb, who was previously promoted to deputy commissioner.
- Adosh Unni will be the new government relations director. Unni comes to the department from the Minnesota House of Representatives where he spent two years as a research consultant on education for the DFL Caucus. A licensed attorney, Unni received his J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School.
“Hue and Adosh are accomplished professionals and dedicated public servants, and we are lucky to have them join the department,” Cassellius said. “I know Daron and Hue will bring invaluable leadership experience to their new roles as assistant commissioners, while Adosh’s background working for the Legislature makes him a great choice to lead our government relations team.”
