[Battle Lake] School approves $250,000 in cuts
Zach Stich, Fergus Falls Journal, April 20, 2012 –
The Battle Lake School approved a reduction of $250,000 for the 2012-13 school year at the Battle Lake School Board meeting.
The cuts will be coming from both teaching and support staff at the school.
“We made a concerted effort to not cut from teaching and support staff, but we were facing budget reductions that we couldn’t avoid,” said Battle Lake Superintendent Jeff Drake.
The state handed down a $250,000 budget cut for the 2012-13 school year. Drake walked the board through the proposed budget with a strategic planning process starting this spring.
