In an effort to engage Minnesotans in conversations about his proposed state budget, Governor Mark Dayton will be hosting ‘Meetings with Mark’ in communities around the state. It would be great to have parents there to hear and talk about the budget’s impact on schools, and we hope you can attend and encourage others to attend!
More information about the governor’s ‘Budget for a Better Minnesota’ is available online. According to the Governor’s office, this will be a town hall style forum where the Governor will moderate the discussion around his budget and give Minnesotans the opportunity to discuss issues that are important to them. He will give brief opening remarks but he sees this as an opportunity to have an honest dialogue with Minnesota on what his budget means to them. Revenue Commissioner Myron Frans will be attending as well.
