Abstract

The securing of a system of public schools is the only mandate in the Minnesota Constitution and as such, Parents United for Public Schools believes that the legislature should be held accountable for the funding of our schools. This presentation concerns the decade of legislation that has led us to this point where state funding for K-12 education actually declines over the next three years, for the first time in the history of the state.  Parents United is educating and activating communities around the state with this presentation so that needed change can be made. Great schools begin at the ballot box. Every educator, legislator and community member needs to know this information.
