Town Meetings

Legislators often host "Town Meetings" in their local communities.  Sometimes these focus on particular issues, more often they're general open forums. Town Meetings provide a valuable opportunity for you to build relationships with your elected officials.  Your continued presence shows them you're concerned.

The best way to make sure you get meeting notices is to sign up to be on your elected officials' mailing lists (either electronic or US Postal). If E-mail works best for you, check your legislator's information page to see if you can sign up online.  If regular mail works better, call your legislator's office and ask a staff member to add you to the mailing list.
