Marc has worked in communications and the legislative arena for more than two decades, as a Congressional staffer for 20 years in both Minnesota and Washington, D.C. where he led statewide outreach efforts on Head Start, and No Child Left Behind and in his current job as Communications Director with the Children’s Defense Fund-Minnesota. Marc ran for the State Legislature in 2004 with quality public education as a central platform. He has a solid understanding of the legislative process and how to communicate about issues. Marc has a son and daughter in the Stillwater Area Schools and is Vice President of the Lake Elmo PTA and a long-time volunteer coach with the St. Croix Valley Athletic Association (hockey and soccer), "I love to work with kids and see them have the opportunity to grow and improve." Marc shares season tickets to the Minnesota Wild, has completed two marathons and hopes to run one more marathon before it’s all over. He also likes to travel with his wife and children.
