Dear State Leaders This is Steven Tolbert in Breckenridge. I am a concerned parent and I am writing in regards to the way communities and school districts have had to resort to ask for operating levies to help fund their school. This creates inequities in the schools and communities, because some will pass and others won't. There are 99 districts asking for levies this year and we in Breckenridge are one of them. I believe that Minnesota has become far too reliant on local levies as a mechanism for funding education. This can't continue. We need you to change the way our schools are being funded.
