Parents and education supporters from around the state must add our voice to the demand that the state make education its number one priority.  This is an opportunity to unite and consider ways to effectively build grassroots support in our communities for public schools.

Legislator Visits (1:00 pm – 4:00 pm)
We encourage all attendees to make appointments with their legislators for the afternoon.  Face-to-face meetings with your legislators are the most effective way for you to show how important our public schools are to you!

  • April 8, 2008 - Legislative plan aims to reform school funding - "It needs to be equitable for each student in the state, and we need to stop needing levies for everything. They just drive everyone apart," [Joan Hauck] said Monday at a Parents United meeting at the Capitol, St. Cloud Times.

Location: Ties Building – Grand Ballroom, 1667 Snelling Avenue, St. Paul

Cost:
To help defray the cost of the Summit, we are asking attendees to pre-register and pay a fee of $15.00 that will cover the cost of the materials, continental breakfast, a box lunch and transportation to/from the Capitol.
