Education and parent organizations from around the country have joined together to co-sponsor Town Hall phone forums in every congressional district with a new Member of Congress.  These phone forums will utilize state-of-the-art phone technology to connect hundreds of the organizations’ members and supporters with their lawmaker on a single call.  The new technology will allow Representatives to field important questions from participants.  The technology will also allow the moderator to instantly poll participants on key education policy questions.

To participate: Sign Up at Call4Action.Net. You will be automatically notified when a call with your U.S. House Representative has been scheduled. Be sure to mark your calendar and be available for the call! Calls can last up to 45 minutes.

How the Technology Works
When the call is scheduled to start, you will receive an automated call that gives you the option to participate or opt out. You will be given the opportunity to ask questions and respond to questions using your telephone keypad. The system uses the same technology as National Public Radio (NPR) to screen questions and compile responses to instant poll questions.
