Update for April 16-20, 2007 — From Mary Cecconi, Executive Director

This week we all had a chance to be heard at the State Capitol and the response was WONDERFUL! The phones were ringing off the hook and the computers were afire!

I want to thank each and every one of you who took the time to make this happen. An added bonus for us was that the Education Omnibus Bill was up for debate on the House floor Wednesday afternoon -- talk about terrific timing!

Now we'd like to offer you the chance to be heard at the national level:

Parents United is working with Communities for Quality Education to offer interested citizens in Minnesota the opportunity to participate in a Virtual Town Hall Phone Forum with our national delegation on the subject of No Child Left Behind. The next Forum is with Congressman Tim Walz and will be held on April 23 at 7:30p.m. If you are interested in participating, we need you to sign on 48 hours in advance.

These virtual Town Hall Forums use cutting edge technology to put us in touch with our legislators in Washington D.C. from the comfort and privacy of our own homes!

Be part of this new way to effect change! If you are interested in signing on to participate in this event, simply link here.
