Hosted by the Minnesota Department of Education, Minnesota businesses and higher education communities, the STEM Summit will provide high school students an opportunity to learn firsthand from many of Minnesota's most successful companies about the exciting job opportunities available in the STEM fields. On Saturday, September 30, the Minnesota Department of Education, along with leaders from Minnesota's high-tech, business, and higher education communities, will host a Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Summit for Minnesota high school students. The STEM Summit is scheduled to take place at the Science Museum of Minnesota in St. Paul from 10 am to 2 pm and will give students an opportunity to learn firsthand from many of Minnesota's most successful companies about exciting job opportunities available in the STEM fields. 9:00 - Check-in Begins As part of Governor Tim Pawlenty's initiative to encourage students to take more STEM classes, the summit will kick off a statewide effort to help achieve that goal.
